31-Day Consecration Fast

Welcome! And thank you for joining us for the first 31 days of the year (January 1 - 31st) for our 31-Day Consecration Fast.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this fast is to give you an opportunity to allow the Lord to lay the groundwork for your life for 2021. The bible tells us in Matthew 6:33 (KJV) "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Starting your year off with fasting and praying opens the door for you to make God your first priority in this new year. This is the year in which the body of Christ is being called to a life of Holiness. This time of fasting and prayer will allow God to reveal and heal the strongholds designed to keep His children from living a life of holiness.

time of prayer

Each day take the time to pray. If possible, take the time to pray 6 A.M., 12 NOON, and 6 P.M. The more time you spend in prayer, the more you will draw nigh unto God. Remember, prayer is simply talking to God. You honoring God and your relationship with Him by spending time with Him in prayer.

time of fasting

Consult with the Lord to determine your fasting window. Some fasting windows are usually 16:8 (usually having an 8 hour eating window between 12 noon and 8:00 P.M.), 22:2 (usually a two hour eating window; e.g. only eating between 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M.). Fast as the Lord instructs. Fasting may not just consist of food only, but consider some other things you may need to fast from (i.e. games or gaming, social media, romance novels). Remember your desire is to draw closer to God and in doing so, take a look at those things that have been given more time than Him.
